About Us

We are Mark & Rhonda Walker

We have been married over 41 years.

We love travel, history, outdoors and adventure.

While we are out and about looking for these things, we try to remember to take pictures.  When we do, we will add them to the site.  Hope you enjoy

We left the the big city

That's right, we left the "Big D" (Dallas) after 20+ years of raising a family and doing the crazy corporate scene.

Hit the road full time

With our pickup and travel trailer.

Traveling, exploring and enjoying

All we can while workamping, doing odd jobs and online work to keep going.

Workamping?

Yes, we are workamping again.

What is workamping?  Who offers it?  Who does it?

First of all, workamping is working for a camp site or camp site and pay.

We have worked in several RV Parks doing all kinds of work.

Rhonda usually works in the office taking care of customers.  I always work in maintenance.

We have worked for some great people and in beautiful places.

And we are back at it now in Amarillo, TX.  Working for the Big Texan RV Ranch.

Secondly, there are so many who offer workamping all over the U.S.  National Parks, State Parks, RV Parks, and more offer some type of workamping gig.

The possibilities are almost endless.  You could work in a State Park one season and be working a fishing camp the next season.  A ski resort during part of the year and a paddle board shop the next.

Thirdly, if you ask another RVer, you'll probably find that they have workamped or have heard of it.  It has really grown over the years and we don't see it stopping anytime soon.

Enjoyment in workamping

Ole Tex needed a little cleaning up.  So, I pulled out the paint and brushes and helped him out.
